RDSC BLOGWelcome to my blog.
The purpose of this blog is simple - to help you improve your communication and social skills so you can be better in personal and professional social situations. In other words, to help you become the best version of yourself. Hopefully you will find something practical and useful here... |
Trying to look smart and make sure you “win” every debate, discussion, and disagreement can sometimes damage a relationship. Is it worth it?
Know when to pick your battles. Please share and like this if you think it might be useful to someone. Thanks! Good manners aren’t just about being “nice.” They are good for your reputation, brand, and business.
Sometimes it's all about the little things. Here are a few ways you might be able to improve your manners instantly: ▪️Saying “excuse me” if you bump into someone. ▪️Saying “thank you” when people hold doors open for you. ▪️Not interrupting. Your word is everything.
Do whatever it takes to do what you say, mean what you say, and live like you say. It may be tempting to think that being dependable is not a big deal. It is. Both your personal and professional reputations depend heavily on how reliable you are. Don’t be casual about it. Say hi on social media @MrDougCampbell. It’s time to stop putting so much pressure on yourself in social situations. Look for connections instead of someone to trick into liking you or your business. You will have a much better chance of being the best version of yourself.
The secret of accomplishing this is to think of every interaction simply as a chance to gain information or learn something. A pass/fail mindset can make you stressed, anxious, and inauthentic. Good luck! Doug Improving your communication and social skills takes practice.
I strongly believe that anyone can get better if they have the desire and out in the effort. Never think you are stuck being shy, introverted, or quiet if you don’t want to be Talk to strangers, be a leader when you have the opportunity, speak up. Good luck. Doug |
