Make it a goal to answer within 24 hours EVERY time someone communicates with you. It is true for both personal and professional situations.
This goes for emails, texts, calls, etc.
By the way, your response doesn’t necessarily have to always be the full solution to the problem. Even an answer just to say that you will deal with the issue soon can make a big difference.
The faster you answer people, the better it looks, both for you and your business.
A 24 hour goal is good. Same day is better. Within an hour is even better.

“Ghosting” just to avoid dealing with people shows disrespect. Assuming they will figure it out eventually if you never respond is not cool.
This may hurt hurt your brain the way I phrase this, but I like to say It like this:
Dont let no answer be your “no” answer
This applies for both personal and professional situations, too. Ignoring someone in a business situation may burn bridges. Ignoring someone in your personal life can do serious damage to the relationship.
Even if you actuslly are trying to get to get rid of someone and don’t really care if they get mad at you - it’s still a good idea to choose the classy move and show them respect.

The best way to handle people who disrespect or disagree with you is to keep your cool.
Nothing is more annoying to them than someone who isn’t affected by their attacks.
Disagree, make a counter point, or even flat out ignore them. But stay calm.
Train yourself to not give people’s words power over you and you will have a much happier life.
