RDSC BLOGWelcome to my blog.
The purpose of this blog is simple - to help you improve your communication and social skills so you can be better in personal and professional social situations. In other words, to help you become the best version of yourself. Hopefully you will find something practical and useful here... |
Everyone should have to wait tables at least once in their life. It teaches you a lot about hard work, people skills, and the value of a dollar.
One thing I learned during my two years or so in this profession was just how much tips meant to me. There was something special about getting a tip for more than the standard/expected 15% or so. Even if it was just by one dollar extra. There is something powerful about going above and beyond to show appreciation. So, the next time you are out at a restaurant, figure out what your usual tip would be, then add one. That dollar will mean a lot more to them than it would to you. Thanks for reading. I’d love to hear what you think. Doug |
