I am a regular networker in the Greenville, South Carolina area and I have made a list of my top 10 events.
I also post my favorite one of the day on LinkedIn, so please feel free to connect with me there for regular reminders. 
                                                        
​

◾️Business After Hours and Coffee and Connections - Put on by the Greenville Chamber. Always well attended.​​

◾️Business and Brews - A good general networking group. They usually meet about once a month. Usually listed on Facebook.  

◾️Business on Tap - Meets once a month -ish. Put on by the Upstate Business Journal. Best way to keep up with them is on their Facebook page.  

◾️Cigars and Business Cards - A monthly event at Boda Pipes in Greenville.  

◾️GVL Connect - Meets at serendipity labs quarterly.  

◾️Network After Work - held at the ALoft hotel bar and other locations

◾️1 Million Cups - Entrepreneurs pitching their ideas with networking before and after. There is one in Spartanburg and I hear they are going to start one again in Greenville soon. Usually listed on Eventbrite.com.

◾️PNC After Hours - A monthly event hosted by Professional Network Connections that is open to the public. 

◾️Tech After Five - A networking event for tech people in Greenville and some other cities in SC and NC. If you go to one, be sure to get on the email list for notifications of this event and other tech events in the area.  

◾️Who You KNOW & Where You GO - Meets monthly at Serendipity Labs. Very well run and well attended.

OTHER EVENTS OF INTEREST


 ◾️​Collaborators and Cocktails - This is an event hosted by the Endeavor workspace. There is networking and a presenter, usually connected to the advertising world. 

◾️TedX Greenville - Usually includes one or two speakers and a chance for networking before and after the event. 

◾️UWITSC.com - Stands for Upstate Women in Technology. I have not been to this one but I've heard it's good. Also heard that men are welcome too

◾️Greenville Commerce Club - Meets Thursday nights and costs $15 if you aren't a member. May be able to get a 1 time summer pass for free.

◾️Rotary Club lunch. Have to be a member but can get in for free if you know a member. Usually a speaker.

◾️CEO Social - Put on by the Spencer Hines real estate company. Hosted by the Chamber

◾️New business Ribbon Cuttings - usually connected to the Greenville or Spartanburg Chamber - an underrated location for networking. I search every Chamber event list in the area for events. 


WEBSITES 

*I usually check these websites and events every weekend to plan what I am going to attend for the upcoming week.

◾️gvltoday.6amcity.com - Their website is good but what you REALLY want to do is get on their daily email list. They have events and other things listed for the day. There is a link to sign up on the site. If I could just give you one thing, this would be it. I read it every morning.

◾️eventbright.com - I search "greenville" every weekend to find any events for the upcoming week. My #1 source for events

◾️Tenatthetop.org - Good calendar of events 

◾️Facebook.com - I usually search the events section once a week to see whats coming up

◾️Greenville Young Professionals Facebook page. Even if you aren't young or professional, there is often discussion about jobs and events in the area. facebook.com/groups/GreenvilleYoungProfessionals/

◾️Spartanburg Young Professionals Facebook page. Often have good events. facebook.com/SpartanburgYP/

• Where’s Wilson??? email list. Wilson White is a State Farm insurance agent who regularly posts good events in the Upstate. Get on his email list by sending him a message to wilson@carolinasf.com


EVENTS STILL MEETING VIA ZOOM!

◾️Tech After Five: The gold standard of in-person networking events, the gold standard of zoom networking events.

◾️Greenville Chamber - Business After Hours AND Coffee and Connections: In the running for the best events in the area. Always a good crowd.

◾️1 Million Cups Greenville: A great group of entrepreneurial minded people networking and discussing new businesses. They also have them in other cities. I have been impressed with the Charleston edition as well.

◾️The YoPro Know: A new, high quality event for young professionals that is already swimming with the big fish and quickly becoming one of the best events in the area.

◾️Next Move GSP: A group meant for job seekers and friends of job seekers. Another great new networking group that is on the rise.
